The Void-Touched
Sorcerer Subclass – Kleukrith
There are those who wield magic, and then there are those whom magic has consumed. The Void-Touched are sorcerers whose bloodlines have been tainted by the nothingness beyond reality, their very existence an anomaly. They do not cast spells as others do—they unravel reality, shaping the void to their will.
In Kleukrith, where the boundaries between realms are weakest, those who are touched by the Void are both revered and feared. Some are born during cosmic disturbances, while others stare too long into the abyss, their souls forever altered. These sorcerers wield power beyond mortal comprehension, but at a terrible cost—their very presence warps the world around them.
Void-Touched Features
Unstable Arcana
1st-level Void-Touched feature
Your magic does not obey the natural laws of the world, causing unpredictable effects.
Reality Fracture – When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, roll a d6. On a 6, the spell causes a void surge, triggering a minor reality-warping effect (DM’s discretion). Examples include:
Time slowing or accelerating in a 10-foot radius.
Gravity shifting momentarily.
A rift briefly opening, revealing the horrors beyond.
Void-Warped Mind – You gain advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) checks but disadvantage on Insight checks due to your warped perception of reality.
Fractured Existence
6th-level Void-Touched feature
Your form is no longer fully bound to the material plane, allowing you to slip between realms.
Ethereal Phase (Reaction) – When you are hit by an attack, you can become incorporeal, gaining resistance to all damage from that attack and teleporting 10 feet in any direction. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses after a long rest.
Echo of the Void – Your spells briefly leave a distortion in reality. When you cast a spell that deals damage, spectral afterimages linger for a moment, causing creatures of your choice within 10 feet to take psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).
Devour the Mind
14th-level Void-Touched feature
You can unravel the sanity of others, forcing them to experience the horrors beyond the veil.
Mind Shatter (Action, Once per Long Rest) – Choose one creature within 30 feet. It must make an Intelligence saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier) or be stunned for 1 minute. The creature can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns. On a successful save, the target is instead frightened until the end of your next turn.
Voidborn Awareness – You always know when you are being observed, even through magical means. Additionally, you gain advantage on saving throws against divination and enchantment spells.
Ruinous Ascension
18th-level Void-Touched feature
You become an avatar of the Void, your mere presence disrupting reality itself.
Apotheosis of the Void (Once per Long Rest, 1 Minute Duration):
You radiate an aura of entropy in a 20-foot radius. All creatures you choose inside it take 1d8 force damage at the start of their turns.
You can cast Blink at will, slipping between dimensions freely.
Spells you cast ignore resistance to force, psychic, and necrotic damage.
Creatures frightened of you cannot take reactions.
When this effect ends, you gain one level of exhaustion, as the universe attempts to reassert control over your existence.
The Void-Touched of Kleukrith
In the darkened halls of Kleukrith, the Void-Touched are both prophets and anomalies, feared for the unsettling distortions that follow in their wake. Many are kept hidden, their power seen as too dangerous to roam freely.
It is said that some Void-Touched do not die—they simply fade, leaving behind echoes of themselves that continue to whisper from the edges of perception.
Few dare to walk this path, for to wield the power of the Void is to risk losing oneself to it entirely.
