The history of The Serpent's Melody and its crew is a tale of adventure, camaraderie, and resilience. Barnabas had spent most of his life at sea, navigating the treacherous waters of the Maelstrom Isles and beyond. As he grew older, he decided to retire from his life as a captain and settle down in the coastal town of Azure Harbor.
However, fate had other plans for Barnabas and his ship. One stormy night, while docked in Azure Harbor, the Sea Serpent caught the eye of a group of Dragonborn adventurers who were seeking passage to the fabled Isle of Draconia. Intrigued by the Dragonborn's tales of adventure and treasure, Barnabas agreed to captain the Sea Serpent once more and set sail for Draconia.
Thus, The Serpent's Melody was born. Under Barnabas's leadership, the crew embarked on a series of daring adventures, braving storms, battling sea monsters, and exploring uncharted islands in search of ancient relics and lost treasures. Along the way, they encountered Dragonborn from all walks of life, forming alliances and forging bonds that would shape the destiny of The Serpent's Melody.
As the crew's reputation grew, so did their ambitions. They expanded their operations, trading goods and offering their services as mercenaries and adventurers for hire. History

As The Serpent's Melody continued to attract new crew members from diverse backgrounds and with unique skill sets, the need arose to organize them into specialized teams to optimize their efficiency and effectiveness on their seafaring adventures. Each team was formed based on the expertise and strengths of its members, allowing them to complement each other's abilities and tackle a wide range of challenges encountered at sea.
The formation of the teams began with the core crew members, who were initially grouped together based on their areas of expertise and shared goals. As more crew members joined, Captain Dwight Soren and his officers carefully assessed their skills and experiences, assigning them to teams where they could make the greatest impact.
The first teams to be formed were the Chroma Fangs and the Chroma Claws, which consisted of Dragonborn crew members with a penchant for combat and exploration. Led by experienced warriors like Elnora Keic and Tiberon Wake, these teams were tasked with defending the ship from pirates and sea monsters, as well as exploring uncharted islands in search of treasure and adventure.
As the crew expanded, so too did the number of teams. The addition of magic-users like Harish Stormborn and Maldra Brightstar led to the creation of the Prismatic Sept, a team dedicated to harnessing the power of arcane magic and uncovering ancient mysteries hidden beneath the waves.
Similarly, the arrival of skilled craftsmen and engineers such as Ragnar Stonewall and Midgarsor Estenien gave rise to the Metallicum Scales, a team responsible for maintaining the ship's equipment and developing new technologies to aid them on their voyages.
Other teams, such as the Ferrous Tail, Resplendent Wings, and Draconic Soul, were formed in response to specific needs and challenges faced by the crew. Thus, the Draconic Will team was born.
Led by Captain Soren himself, the Draconic Will team brought together a group of Dragonborn adventurers from different backgrounds and walks of life. Each member of the team possessed a strong connection to their draconic heritage and a burning desire to prove themselves in the face of adversity.
