Symbols

A split disk, half black and half white, encircled by a thin band of cold iron. A feather balanced on the tip of a blade.   Tailer is a striking figure of ethereal beauty, with pale skin like moonlight and short, raven-black hair that seems to drink in the surrounding light. Her eyes gleam with the unyielding hue of cold iron, reflecting her role as the mediator of opposites. She is diminutive in stature, standing surprisingly short and slender, yet her presence carries an inexplicable weight. Often seen in leather armor dyed a muted brown, she embodies both simplicity and elegance. Tailer’s aura is tinged with melancholy, as if burdened by the mysteries she guards.   Tailer is contemplative and enigmatic, her demeanor a reflection of her domain over opposites. She is compassionate yet impartial, firm yet gentle, and hopeful yet resigned. While she can be nurturing and kind to mortals, her sadness stems from her awareness of the inevitable cycles of life and death. She values introspection and courage, encouraging her followers to seek their own balance. Despite her melancholy, she has moments of dry wit and unexpected warmth.

Desires and Motivations

Tailer maintains the balance of opposites in the world, ensuring that neither creation nor destruction, life nor death, tips the cosmic scales. Explore and understand the interplay of opposites in all realms. Tailer wishes to unravel the mysteries of life and death, discover the hidden truths of duality, and guide mortals to embrace the cyclical nature of existence.   Born of the union between the Primordial of Balance and the Divine Flame of Renewal, Tailer’s essence was forged to maintain the harmony of opposites. Her rise to goddesshood came when she ventured into the Veil Between Worlds, where life and death converge. In doing so, she became the bridge between these realms, a role she reluctantly embraced. Her name is whispered in reverence by mortals and immortals alike as the one who ensures the cycle continues.   Tailer resides in Ecliptus Veil, a liminal realm where twilight eternally dances with dawn. The land is an ever-shifting tapestry of stark contrasts: icy mountains mirrored by molten rivers, barren deserts beside lush forests. Souls traveling between life and death pass through her realm, guided by her quiet presence.   Tailer is most often worshipped by commoners, travelers, and those who seek peace in the face of life’s adversities. Her priests and priestesses are known as The Dawnwardens and are often clad in garments marked by her symbol. Her few but devout followers uphold her teachings of courage, acceptance, and the pursuit of balance. Rituals honoring Tailer often involve lighting a candle at dawn or dusk to symbolize transitions.
