Session 95: Melting & Mending

General Summary

The Dragon Punchers watched in horror and confusion as Chari melted into the ley line before their eyes. However, sounds of the impending return of the hive meant that they could not tarry to try and bring her back. The group rushed out to the entrance of the ruins where they'd left Sprinkles. There were signs of a struggle nearby. The owlbear, for its part, was happily munching on the remains a Nowhere Wolf--likely one of the individuals that Micah had encountered earlier. The party took a moment to collect themselves. The shock of Chari's loss had not fully sunk in, and Jinn was convinced he could see his friend attempting to make contact through the mist and fog in the area.
With Osdra still ailing, and needing more information on how to save Chari, the group resolved to return to Merchevo. As the Dragon Punchers parted ways with Gnani Bhekar, Bart gifted her the instrument of her former companion, Alíreth Silvergleam. Though the Gilded Lute of Woven Hearts seemed to bring back painful memories, the halfling woman was touched by the gesture. She bade them farewell and disappeared back into the woods. The journey back to the capitol city was a somber affair for all. Upon arriving at the city outskirts, Kesmon also parted ways to return to Melora's Respite.
Jinn met with Treasurer Ashbloom to check up on the status of a meeting with Oneithia. Hawthorne delivered her report to Primarch Samevi. And Micah, self-conscious of his changed condition, made himself scare in the halls of the Lliiran temple. Sir Bartleby, meanwhile met with Osdra. While unable to heal her, the paladin was able to arrest the progress of her disease using the dragon scale pulled from the ley line.
At the end of the day Jinn left for Mas'Uld, hoping someone in his family might be able to help them bring Chari back.
