Session 179: Fiends & Forges

"I make bad choices."

General Summary

After the taxing battle with the macrosian, the Dragon Punchers elected to take a quick rest before returning to the farmhouse.  During that time Jinn asked Chari to give him a tattoo.  The intent was to create a permanent, protective ward that would keep Beshaba at bay.  Unfortunately, Chari's handiwork was...suboptimal.  Jinn was left with two questionable tattoos and equally sore butt cheeks.
With that particular poor choice behind them, the Dragon Punchers made their way up through the rest of the Dawnforge facilities, picking their way through rooms and investigating what they could find.  In the upper levels lay the main forge.  There the party came across more of Messeneth's minions.  Micah's skills in battle became a key factor in the group's success, as he was able to maneuver their foes into the lava pools that fed the forge. 
However, rather than engage the party, the leader of the opposing forces fled.  Having seemingly achieved its objective, it had no interest other than returning to its master.
