Session 137: Crones & Cave-ins

General Summary

Jinn pursued the crone deeper into the caves.
After disabling her wards, the party confronted the witch in her inner sanctum. When it became clear that the Dragon Punchers had the upper hand, she attempted to flee back through the passages. However, Bart landed a final blow to end her life and prevent her escape. With her demise her magic summons, too, were destroyed.
With the the hag defeated, the party was free to investigate her lair. Inside they found all manner of items both grisly and bizarre. Of most concern, however, was a familiar blue-green glow emanating from a pit in the floor. Further investigation confirmed their suspicions--Tandarrah sat upon the conflux of several leylines.
Unsure of how to handle this information, the group decided the best course of action would be to collapse a portion of the cave and prevent anyone else from entering. However, Chari's blast of energy, empowered by proximity to the leyline, created an explosion that compromised the entire underground network. The detonation set off a chain reaction of cave-ins, forcing the Dragon Punchers to flee before they became trapped.
The group, damp and bedraggled, trudged back to the apartment at Emberthistle Academy to recover and clean up before setting out to find Aerolus.
