Martyr's Heart
The Martyr’s Heart is an extremely rare artifact forged of pure, divine magic. When a paladin with unfinished business is resurrected, it is possible for a portion of their essence to become transformed. Their desire to protect others manifests physically, coalescing into the form of a small filigreed gem pendant.
When a paladin gifts the necklace to another, their fates become entwined. As long as they remain together, their charge cannot die while the paladin yet lives. While apart, whoever wears the pendant can always sense how far the other person may be.

This item is unique insofar as it requires two parties to attune to it in order to function.
