General Summary
Miko, Poe, and Pamaris exited the sewers and made their way back towards the Platinum Chambers to give an update. Petra, a young acolyte, showed them to the baths where the group could recover. After a relaxing soak, the group divulged all that they had seen in the sewers and found at Posey’s home. Yaretzi, a temple scholar, began to research all that they had described. As they cleaned up, the party puzzled over the details of the case and concluded that the monster they sought was likely Evelyn Applegate. If she was still seeking vengeance, Claude Applegate was likely in danger.
Quickly making their way to the Applegate estate, Pamaris, Miko, and Poe were greeted by an all too familiar sight. Lord Applegate lay dead. The slithring tracker had struck again. Its trail led east, and so the party, joined by Chiselki, Applegate's bodyguard, followed. It seemed that Evelyn was heade to Bahamut's temple. The group arrived in time to spot the creature before it reached the inner sanctum and quickly evacuated the building while going on the offensive. The tracker continued to act with single-minded intensity, persistent in pursuit of whomever was in the inner sanctum.
With the creature dispatched, and armed with the knowledge of how it was created, many questions remained unanswered. The only loose end was Bethel Amber, but she had been reticent to engage the party. They resolved to find Valathar Kent and see if he might be of service.
