Valaga River
Geography
The Valaga runs through nearly all of the northern continent of Caanae. Over 2200 miles long, it is fed by the Wychu Paniaufew "Forefather Mountains" and the arctic ice, winding from east to west before curving south. After it curves south and heads towards the great western ocean, the sparse tundra and arctic climes give way to boreal forest that hug the river as it winds its way to where it empties. The northern Valaga is separated from the southern by a couple lakes, one of which is a little over 200 miles long. It is here where the river begins to pick up sediment and starts to turn from a clear arctic color into a brown as it travels further south.
Natural Resources
As fish is plentiful in the river, and it is a major source of fresh water, it is a hotspot of cultural activity between the denizens that live in the boreal wildlands. Minotaur, orcs, and all sorts of creatures use it to navigate, eat and drink from.
