Bunia

History

Bunia had a long history of religious fervor. In the end the story goes that they summoned an angel of the Spirits to save them from the Empire, but the Empire used foul sorcery to banish it, for which they payed dearly. Stories in the Empire suggest that they instead summoned a fiend from the Lower Planes, who corrupted and cowed the local populace before being valiantly stopped by elven magic. Whatever the truth of the matter, what is remembered was the bloody end, culminating in the capitulation and siezure of all Bunian lands by Umenor.
