Avery's Dagger

A dagger given to Avery by their mother, who died before proving it to be magic.
Avery's dagger remains sheathed most of the time in a simple harness. The guard sweeps out from the blade, curving slightly toward the tip. It's engraved with intricate symbols. The hilt is simple leather, but the pommel is embedded with a dark red ruby surrounded by the same symbols as the guard.
