The Galactic Order

The Galactic Order is the largest organization in the known universe. They control virtually every aspect of human society on more than 1 billion worlds around the center ring and exert their influence over countless more in the outer rim of the galaxy.

Structure

A vast empire made up of thousands of megacorporations, they value peace, order and stability above all else. They control and restrict every advanced technology within the borders of Order space. Every world in the center ring is unified under the banner of the Galactic Order, they all benefit from the same plentiful ressources and long lasting peace under the watchful eye of the Director. Worlds in the outer rim are given the opportunity to keep their individual governments, as long as they keep the peace and adhere to strict Galactic Laws. Failling to do so will see their civilisation completely absorbed into the Order or utterly destroyed.
In the center ring, peace is absolute, every citizen in every world belonging to The Order must follow a strict code of conduct and agree to be implanted with nanomachines that can monitor their movements and vital signs. Most agree to give up all personal privacy for safety and peace of mind. All acts of aggression are outlawed, however there is no need for a peace keeping force in the center ring since The Order’s Director personally controls swarms of nanites deployed in the atmosphere of every inhabited planet to help stop any crime moments before they happen, making the law virtually impossible to break.

Mission

Founded more than 3000 years ago by the mysterious and all powerful Director, they quickly expanded to conquer every major sector accross the galaxy. Ever expanding, they continue to explore previously uncharted space to add more worlds under their control. Their mission is to protect humanity from themselves by uplifting and uniting every world under one leader.
All in the name of keeping the peace, they can authorize the use of experimental or restricted cutting edge technology to bring a swift end to any conflict at any point, as long as they have the resources and clearance from the Director to do so. With seemingly infinite ressources, overwhelming military strenght and swarms of nanomachines monitoring every large population center, they receive little to no opposition.

Leader

The Order Director, or simply referred to as Director, is an immortal being alive for longer than any human civilization can remember. Capable of splitting their consciousness across multiple mechanical bodies appearing as beings of pure light shining through a golden armor or as any kind of other physical manifestation where the nanites swarms are active. The Order firmly believes that the Director is the only force for the greater good strong enough to bear the responsibility of leading mankind, preventing them from repeating the mistakes of the past and defending them against any threat.
The Order see themselves as a benevolent force for good, guiding civilization toward enlightenment and uplifting primitive human settlements that were abandoned and cut off after the first galactic war. Others see them as power hungry tyrants obsessed with conquest and absolute control.
