CapitalWorld or The Order Capital, is a gigantic StarBase the size of a dwarf star orbiting around the border of the galactic core and the main seat of power for The Galactic Order.
Built nearly 3000 thousand years ago at the founding of the Order, it is said to be the most powerful StarBase in the galaxy. The CapitalWorld is a spheric structure composed of four different parts designed to combine together around a star in order to absorb a maximum amount of solar energy. By itself it can produce enough energy to power the only self sustained space station that is larger than a star and at least half of the galaxy. But the Order preciously guards their massive reserves of solar energy in giant batteries located in the depths of the base.
It started as a military research base, using their endless supply of energy to develop the most advance weapons, automated defences and space mining tech, it safe guards the Order's most valuable assets. After extensively studying the galactic core, the CapitalWorld's top scientists created a wide array of new tech to improve the lives of the people on every world who joined the Order. One of the greatest advancement they made came with the discovery of Aether, a volatile substance that can be used as fuel to power spaceship engines to previously unimaginable speeds. They discovered large quantity of Aether in rocky planets near the galactic core and then the top engineers designed a new armored exo suit and a radiation shield powerful enough to withstand the harsh conditions. Only the toughest and most experience space miner where chose to work in the galactic core, some went mad after a few months of exposure to the constant radiation coming from thousands of stars in every direction. The Aether trade exploded and the CapitalWorld changed from being a military base to being the economic and cultural center it is now, it was responsible for significantly reducing interstellar travel time accross the whole galaxy.
