Mad Island Wetland Management Area

The Mad Island WMA is a conservation area known for migratory waterfowl. The region is generally closed, but periodically open for hunting to control populations of alligators, wild pigs, and whitetail deer. One of the current problems is an unexplained spike in frog populations, leading to many speculations. With this increase, rumors also circulate among a few hunters about a "megatoad" cryptid wandering the region.
