Gum Users in the world of Bubblegum Grunge have swallowed magical bubblegum that gives them specific superhuman powers and abilities. They have innate source of magic that fuels them, and they don’t cast spells ritually, at least not with their bubblegum powers.
There are a wide variety of official D&D resources and books, including the official D&D Dungeon Master's Guide and the community wiki, that provide a wide variety of spells you can use with classes, technology, creativity, & bubblegum creation. Below will be a list that best fit into this world, but this world is filled with possibility so feel free to venture outside of provided materials if it makes sense for your character.
It might make sense for certain spells to work especially well for a mutation, but they may not list a damage type in the spell description that corresponds to the bubblegum's element or material. For example, if you wish to use the cone of cold spell for an acid-natured bubblegum, you may list "deals acid damage instead" for the spell on the bubblegum sheet.
Some bubblegum powers will not lend well to spells, a gum person might be able to stretch and be sticky but would struggle to produce a fireball. Creativity is key into making your bubblegum fun and unique. A stretchy character could easily stretch their hand to reach something within eyesight but out of reach like mage hand, but a bomb character might only be able to make things explode.
Keep elemental spells in line with their elemental element (e.g. salt elemental can cast salt splash, crystal knife, etc.). A strong attack or ability should at the very least on par with a 7th-level or higher spell, while an awakening should be on par with a 9th-level spell. If you are having trouble finding a fitting spell for a certain elemental element, feel free to alter existing spells to fit the bubblegum's abilities.
