Eye of Yaltu

Prompt: Ancient A blue crystalline sphere the size of a fist, with a large closed eyelid on its surface. The sphere is has three coiled tendrils that will stretch out and latch onto any staff within its reach. Doing so it's eye opens and becomes sentient, allowing the staff to float freely. While held the orb can communicate telepathically with the user, and grants them the ability to see into the ether.
This sphere was the crystaline eye of Yaltu, a prime being who was consumed by an eldritch entity of crystal. His eye holds part of his being within it and seeks to bring Yaltu back to his former glory before his near destruction centuries ago. Those using the eye's many psionic abilities will undergo a slow and subtle manipulation of the mind as Yaltu's conscience will seek to tempt and entice the wielder through voices laced with charms.
The eye has been known to perform great feats in its random appearances through history:

• It paralyzed an army in the hands of a warlord
• It created a rune plague in the southern crossing
