Motusite

Properties
Material Characteristics
A spectrum of motusite polymorphs seem to exist. Physical structure seems to be predictive of the potency of its effects.
Color
In all forms, motusite appears to be a rich azure. Less potent polymorphs may take on a greyer hue, sometimes looking 'cloudy' in appearance.Structure
There is a puzzling amount of variability in the crystal structure of motusite. More potent samples have a crystal structure forming a dodecahedron. Less potent samples may express more or fewer growth faces. However, the angles of these growth faces align with the faces of the dodecahedron. Additional faces that may manifest grow at a 45 degree angle to existing faces.Hardness
Motusite has a hardness similar to Topaz.Cleaveage
Motusite breaks along its growth faces.Luster
Motusite has a resinous finishMs
