Voldrumon and Thalia approached Winstable with their Strixhaven invitations and, over tea and confusion, ended up tagging along with him on his way to speak to Strixhaven first years.
Mage Emeritus Professor Rasimus Winstable, known most commonly as Professor Winstable, a title carried with him during a long career teaching at Strixhaven University.
By the commentary of various characters, it would appear he is a wizard of some renown, or at least was at some time. In the present day, he is a bewildered, meandering figure, prone to forgetting things like what he's doing, or who he's talking to.
During his occasional, brief moments of lucidity however, one gets just a glimpse into the mastery of magical techniques he once had at his command.
Of note are improvised-yet-accurate scrying, and interplanar travel.
For some years now, Winstable has been living in a comfortable home in Baldur's Gate, Faerun, tended to by Darla, a magically powered construct caretaker resembling a porcelain doll.
Recent events, however, have revealed that Darla has been attempting to return Winstable to Strixhaven for some time, the two failing in their attempts to even make contact with the school for reasons not yet made clear.
