Locke and Rex

This inseparable duo hail from war-ravaged Ebberon and have formed a powerful bond over several perilous adventures.

Locke is a warforged, a race of mechanized humanoids built for combat but made free long ago when the spells that give them life, also gave them intelligence. Her unique power source - Known as a Storm Core, gives her an abundance of magical energy that she can use to fuel her spells as a sorcerer.

Rex is a Gnoll, Hyena-like people from the deep deserts, who has made much of his career as a thief. It came as a surprise to him when an acceptance letter came for them both, as he had never previously showed any signs of magical talent or competency. All the same, he accepted and journeyed to Strixhaven alongside Locke, on the quiet suspicion that she might not have gone otherwise.
