Dr. Verelda Lang is one of the leading practitioners and researchers of healing arts in Strixhaven's combined medical school and hospital - The Infirmarium.
Well respected and admired by staff and students, gentle and tireless Dryad serves double duty by also teaching introductory classes in medicine and physiology.
Unlike many of her kind that let their leaves and branches grow to suit their personality or fashion, Verelda keeps her body completely smooth, branches and twigs trimmed off as they grow, surfaces sanded bare, and her arms coated in a sort of flexible waterproof varnish almost up to the shoulders. She does this for sanitation reasons, to keep herself always ready to perform emergency medical assistance when needed, with a minimum of preparation and fuss.
