Dr. Igor
Dr. Neils Iscarridein Igor is frightening to behold, described by kinder students as looking like someone who has suffered many terrible accidents and miraculously survived - and by unkind ones as a cadaverous assembly of scrap body parts and unnatural machinery.
In contrast to his appearance, Igor is a gently-spoken, encouraging individual, that nonetheless dabbles in fields of study that some consider quite disturbing.
He currently occupies the role of Chief Coroner in the morgue, deep in the bowels of Strixhaven's Infirmarium, while occasionally venturing upstairs to assist in teaching duties, sharing his unique methodologies with fascinated and sometimes horrified students. He was once a medical practitioner, considered gifted at both surgery and magical healing by his peers, but after an incident years back that he doesn't talk about in detail, he lost his license to practice medicine on the living.
In spite of the sunny and cheerful attitude with which he approaches his work, he actually takes the gravity of his duties very seriously, believing that the treatment of the dead should be given the same care and reverence as treating the living.
