Humans, while not the first attempt at life, were quite possibly the most successful form, what they lacked in specific adaptations and longevity they more than made up for in numbers and sheer brute force willpower. A true Jack of all trades, Humans have proven capable of living almost anywhere in the world with few troubles compared to others, easily adapting to any culture and environment. While a human may lack the strength of the giants or the speed of the tabaxi, humans have more than made up for this in... unusual ways, there shorter lifespan giving them a far more condensed and fufilling outlook on life that constantly drives them forward at rates most races struggle to keep up with. Additionally, while likely attributed to it's creation taking place long after the other humanoid models of mortal life, a human's ability to crossbreed with most races has proven to produce... strange results to say the least.
While a human only lives for around a century maximum, they were also one of the only races to exit the Age of Gods completely unaffected, watching as the High Elves from millennium's past crumbled to dust, equal parts humbled and horrified as the same mortality that held the humans down was now lashing out at the rest of the world with a force no other race was prepared for.
