N, The man who bought godhood

Goldrock was born as the son of a rich trader. He did not want for much in his life but he had grand ambitions. He wanted to explore the grand oceans from which humankind came. With a small loan of million gold, he brought a grand fleet and sailed the ocean. He managed to survive and find land on the other side. He used the secret knowledge he gained from his many sunken ships, and his large budget for cannons, in order to secure a semi-consistent trade route between continents. This monopoly over trade between unique products not found on the other continent, granted him IMMENSE wealth. He ended up using selling both his wealth and his company to some unknown source in exchange for godhood. This ended up leading to the closure of the company and the end of safe sea travel.
