The profane effigy of the immortal grail
The great king that took a hold of the The Immortal Grail. He was too weak to hold such a powerfull artifact. He ended up getting manipulated by Il Madre Diable and degraded into a life of depravity all in service of the Grail. Gradualy his autonomy and his verry self started to get stripped away, all that remained was addoration for the grail. He had absorbed so much power from the grail that further than being immortal he could no longer be killed. Eventualy being stripped away and imprisoned all he would do is long for and care for the Grail.
One day the king was slain by the power of the grail's creator... but the being it had become could no longer be slain. Everything that was the king once was had been slain. His body to the bones turned into ash and the ash itself removed from existence. Even his verry name was simply erased from existence. Yet the empty vessel of what once was his soul still held great powers from the grail and a great desire for the grail it could no longer hold. With the grail out of reach the desire created its own grail and a formless spirit that would worship it. This spirit now roams the world appearing where it whishes to in order to prolong its existence. This effegy created in the image of The Immortal Grail does not posses the power of the individual it is instead a conduit of power, with a price. If one takes a life and puts it the Grail of the nameless king and drinks from it they will gain the deceaseds lifespan and some of there powers. However some of it will be taken by the Grail in order to preserve itself.
The grail of the nameless king has many followers but all crave power and are willing to pay dearly for it.
