The Dragon War and the Wyrm King

The continent of Draconis a large misshapen landmass to the far west of Ivoura. It once was ruled by dragons the chromatic and metallic dragons would wage wars in hopes of claiming the continent. But all these wars did was kill off a very large number of dragons, leaving very few left in Breyox. The main inhabitants of Draconis are the dragonborn, who were created by the dragons to rule over. But after the Dragon Wars stopped and many of the dragons either died off or fled the Dragonborn took rulership of Draconis. The chromatic and metallic dragonborn unlike their creators did have some semblance of peace, though in fighting between them still continues from time to time. The current ruler of Draconis is Wyrm King Clax Barash, a rare breed of dragonborn that mixes gold and red. Clax is viewed as a popular ruler among both chromats and metallics.

Dragonborn Culture

The dragonborn culture is one of war as that's what they were taught by their creators. From a real world standpoint the dragonborn of Breyox hold a very similar culture to gaelic with specific colored dragonborn being a part of clans that wear tartan. The tartan for each clan are often made of the color of dragonborn they are, but if a dragonborn is for example a half white half blue dragonborn their tartan would be blue and white. A pure blooded dragonborn would often wear their color with a mix of muted greys as the tartan lines. With tartans come kilts which the dragonborn wear during ceremonies and parties. Some clans choose to wear kilts into battle but many clans do not instead have either a banner or capes that bear the tartan design. Dragonborn often wear heavy or medium armor, though there are some exceptions that wear light.
In Draconis as previously mentioned Dragonborn will oftentimes breed outside their dragon type. To some dragonborn clans it is alien to do such a thing, but a large majority do not mind it. Even still metallic and chromatic dragonborn often do not breed, this is because the dragonborn were created separately by different types of dragons so there are slight biological differences that can sometimes lead to deformed dragonborn or stillborn dragonborn. Obviously there are some exceptions namely Draconis’ current king who is both gold and red. The rare dragonborn that are both chromatic and metallic are often viewed as the top of the food chain despite being half breeds. In dragonborn culture dragonborn’s breed for life often refers to one another as their mate, not husband and wife like many other cultures.

Religion

When it comes to religion the Dragonborn tend to worship the creators of their creators Bahumat and Tiamat. Bahumat is oftentimes more openly worshipped while Tiamat worship is more underground and rarer. Because of Bahumat being the primary god worshipped both metallics and chromats worship the platinum dragon, a god that isn't widely worshipped elsewhere. The lack of worship elsewhere has led to many missionaries crossing the Dancing Ocean to preach about the Platinum Dragon. This religion has become increasingly popular in some places but is still rare to find.

Language

The primary language for the dragonborn is draconic, their native tongue. Though most dragonborn also speak in common they mainly prefer to speak in draconic. The population of Draconis is around twelve million people with about 95% being dragonborn, 4% tieflings, and 1% various other races. Their capital city Aeros, meaning breath and life in draconic is a massive city of around 5 million people. Aeros is a port town that sits on an area of the shore called “the Tail” due to it being a large long area that juts out from the mainland on the East side of Draconis. The second largest city is Aryz which has about 2.5 million people and is on the West side of Draconis.

Type

Geopolitical, Kingdom
