Trait Descriptions
Adaptive Growth: Trellinds are essentially sentient magical trees. Some have so much control over the magic empowering them that they can use it to adjust their wooden frame at will. Trellind’s may alter their physical selves as though casting either Barkskin, Tree Shape, or Wood Shape. The caster level for these effects is equal to the trellind’s character level and activating this ability takes two actions. A trellind may use this ability for a number of minutes equal to their character level. These minutes need not be consecutive, but must be used in one minute increments. When using this ability to replicate wood shape, the Trellind may change the shape of their hands and feet as per the spell. This effect may replicate any light or one-handed melee weapon. Doing so gives the Trellind a primary natural attack which otherwise functions as the replicated weapon appropriate to the Trellind's size.   Arboreal Magic: Characters with this trait treats all mental stats as 2 higher for, and adds +1 to caster level for, all spells and Bloodline/Domain/Mystery abilities cast using a class providing any of the following: Fey or Verdant Bloodlines; the Plant domain and it’s subdomains; the Nature or Wood Mysteries   Bark Skin: Characters with this trait gain +1 natural armor, This trait stacks with itself   Grounded: Characters with this trait gain resist electricity 5. If taken twice, the total resistance increases to 7.   Low-light Vision: A trellind can see twice as far as a human in low-light
Magical Sensitivity: Trellinds are particularly aware of magic fields and auras around them as their madraga wood bodies interact with and distort those fields in minute ways. A character with this trait gains a magic scent ability functioning like the effects of the 1st round of detect magic and allowing the character to make survival checks to track magical items and creatures based on aurau strength and lingering power.     Mandraga Resonance: Trellind’s mandraga wood bodies resonate with magical effects both negative and positive. The duration of any spell cast on a trellind with this trait is increased by 50%   Oak Strong: A character with this trait gains a +2 racial bonus to Strength   Willow Lithe: A character with this trait gains a +2 racial bonus to Dexterity

Trellinds and Sub-Ancestries

While Trellinds do not breed like any other biological race, they can be created in any image by the original sculptor. Consult with your DM about applying Sub-Ancestries to Trellinds.
