Applicability

This Sub-Ancestry may be applied to any base ancestry which does not have the Outsider type.

Common Traits
  • Ability score modifiers: -1 Dexterity +1 Constitution. These adjustments cannot increase the total Racial bonus to ability scores to more than +2.
  • Size: Unchanged
  • Type: The type changes to Outsider with the Native subtype and an subtypes the base ancestry has.
  • Base speed: Unchanged
  • Ponderous: Oread's are much slower than others of their kin due to increased bulk and stiffer bodies. Reduce all modes of movement from the base ancestry by 10ft. This reduction cannot reduce the base movespeed below 15ft or any alternative movement modes below 10ft.
  • Dense: Oread's greater density and stiffer forms make them much harder to move around. Oreads are treated as one size larger when advantageous against forced movement effects. In addition, an oread with this trait deals and receives 50% extra fall damage.

Trait Descriptions
Acid Resistance 5: Oreads with this trait gain acid resist 5. This trait does not stack with itself   Adamantine Skin: Oread with this racial trait gain DR 3/- but increase their armor check penalty by 2 (this means that even oreads with no armor suffer at least a -2 armor check penalty).   Constitution Bonus: Oread with this trait gain an additional +2 racial bonus to Constitution. This allows the total racial bonus to exceed +2.   Crystalline Skin: Oreads with this trait gain a +2 racial bonus to AC against rays thanks to their reflective crystalline skin. In addition, once per day, they can deflect a single ray attack targeted at them as if they were using the Deflect Arrows feat.
Earth Affinity: An Oread with this trait treats all mental stats as 2 higher and adds +1 to the caster level for all spells and Bloodline/Domain/Mystery abilities cast using a class providing any of the following: the Deep Earth, Elemental (Earth), or Shaitan Bloodlines; the Earth Domain, or the Metal or Stone Mysteries.   Granite Skin: Oreads with this trait gain +1 natural armor.   Oread Gem Magic: Oreads with this racial trait can augment their earth-related spells and spell-like abilities through the use of precious and semiprecious gemstones as additional material components (see Table: Oread Gem Magic). The gems are destroyed in the process, granting the spell the listed effects in addition to its normal effects unless otherwise noted. Only one instance of oread gem magic can be applied to a spell at a time; excess expended gems do not stack.
