Applicability

This Sub-Ancestry may be applied to any base ancestry which has the Reptilian type.

Common Traits
  • Ability score modifiers: -1 Dexterity +1 Constitution. These adjustments cannot increase the total Racial bonus to ability scores to more than +2.

  • Draconic Lineage: Dragonborn are Reptilians blessed with the convergence of powerful draconic blood. When creating a Dragonborn, choose a color of Chromatic dragon to be your lineage. In the case of a Dragonborn Kobold, this choice is made under the Kobold’s common traits and can not be changed. This choice will influence some of your racial traits.

Trait Descriptions
Breath Weapon: Dragonborn with this trait have a natural breath weapon mirroring that of their Draconic lineage. The breath weapon is a 15ft cone (Green, Red, or White) or a 30ft line (Black or Blue) wich deals damage based on your draconic lineage. Using this breathweapon costs two actions (a standard action) and deal 1d6 points of energy damage as appropriate (acid for Black or Green, electricity for Blue, fire for Red, cold for White). The damage increases by 1d6 at 3rd level and every three levels beyond that. After using your breath weapon, roll a d6 at the beginning of each round. On a 6, you regain the use of your breath weapon. This ability can be used a number of times per day equal to your constitution modifier and the save is CON based (10 + ½ lvl + Con mod)   Claw and Fang: Dragon Born with this trait gain a bite attack and two claw attacks which deal damage based on their size. If the base ancestry already provides either a claw or bite attack, this instead increases the damage dice according to the following table.

    Draconic Boon: Dragonborn with this trait inherit an ability of their greater cousins based on scale color.
Color Boon
Black Can move through natural bogs and quicksand without penalty at full speed
Green Can move through any sort of natural foliage at full speed without taking damage or suffering impairment. Areas of foliage that have been magically manipulated affect them normally.
Blue can mimic any voice or sound it has heard by making a successful Bluff check against a listener’s Sense Motive check.
Red can see perfectly in smoky conditions
White Can see perfectly well in snowy conditions and does not suffer any penalties to Perception checks due to snow (such as snow glare).
    Dragon Immunities: Dragon born with this trait are immune to Sleep and paralysis effects.  
Energy Resistance: Black-scaled and green-scaled Dragonborn with this racial trait gain acid resistance 5. Blue-scaled Dragonborn with this racial trait gain electricity resistance 5. Red-scaled Dragonborn with this racial trait gain fire resistance 5. White-scaled Dragonborn with this racial trait gain cold resistance 5.   Greater Scales: Dragon born with this trait have incredible coats of armor like scales not unlike their dragon brethren. This trait increases natural armor bonuses from the base ancestry by an additional +2 (minimum +2 natural armor bonus)   Natural Athletics: Dragonborn with this trait gain a +2 racial bonus to swim and climb checks   Strength Bonus: Dragonborn with this trait gain an additional +2 racial bonus to Strength. This allows the total racial bonus to exceed +2.   Wyrm Magic: Dragon born often receive the arcane blood of their distant kin. Dragonborn with this trait receive a racial bonus of +2 on spellcraft and use magic device checks
