The dragon gods began to fight for supreme power over Virthys. A dangerous discovery was made.

With all other deities banished from this world, Virthys was ripe for the taking. But the old dragon gods Zathruax and Myrzakliaz were too envious to just share the power: They had to settle who was the supreme deity.   And so, the War of the Dragon Gods began. Many mortals tried to stay out of the conflict, but there were enough powerful dragons and cultists to ravage the lands once more. And this time, the entire world was affected.   Just staying out of it was not really an option anymore. Sages, spellcasters and adventurers of all sorts fought the dragon gods and their followers. Among them was Shariel, an elven sorceress. She followed the traces to an ancient artifact, an item called the Mistheart.   It was supposed to save the world, being able to capture the power of gods. What Shariel didn't know was that it was hidden because it already contained the power and essence of a banished deity. And Zathruax had been following her endeavors with great interest.
