One of the traditional weapons in the cities of the Ember Wastelands, this beautiful double-bladed sword is imbued with fire magic. During combat, it seems as if the scimitar itself becomes excited, and sparks fly back and forth between the two blades of the Ember Sword.
Once you make a successful hit, it makes one point of fire damage additional to its regular damage. Furthermore, one of the sparks between the weapon’s two blades ignites into a flame. Once a spark is ignited, on your next successful hit, the flame explodes into a bright flash, and the target has to succeed on a Dexterity Saving Throw vs. DC 14 or become blinded until the end of its next turn.
An ignited spark vanishes after one minute if the sword doesn’t successfully hit a target again.

She looked at the blade in her hand with admiration. She had always wanted an Ember Sword, the weapon of an experienced warrior. Her father, the master blacksmith, smiled at her. "You have earned it. Besides, I want you to be well equipped when you go out there."
Suddenly, she let the blade go down. With just one stroke, she split the scorpion that had approached her father in two, and one of the sparks between the two blades of the weapon ignited. "I can hardly wait to use it in battle," she declared with a grin that clearly revealed her tusks.
