Vagdhum

Vagdhum is the seat of power of the Dwarven Nation Vaghya, which was founded by Prince Pyotr Vaghya when he travelled to the continent of Rebullia in the decades after the human empire of Carnelia founded the settlement of New Aurelia. Originally a small mining outpost, Pyotr and his band of men (and women) were able to survey the mountains of the northern Tattersall range and find a bevy of geological riches buried within. Over the decades that have passed since its founding, the Dwarven state has grown wealthy, and is even nearly as rich as the Dwarven capital of Logdhum.

Prince Pyotr is still the leader over the lands controlled by the Kingdom of Logni on the continent of Rebullia, and is a vassal for the Dwarven Emperor Nikolai Vaghya, who resides in the Dwarven Ancestral Home of Logdhum in the northern mountains of the Old World.

As is typical for Dwarven settlements, Vagdhum is known for its rare minerals, gems and ores that it unearths, through expansive Dwarven mining operations in the region.

Vagdhum is also known as a home for all of the experts in geology, gem cutting, blacksmithing, and mountaineering. Vagdhum is the major ore and gem clearing house for the continent of Rebullia. If you need to get a rock appraised from a simple nugget of coal, to the most wondrous ingot of platinum, Vagdhum is where you will want to take it.

Though the Dwarven nations have traditionally shunned the artists of the arcane, like many major settlements in Rebullia, you will find a community of Gnomes plying their trades. Many a poor Dwarven miner down on his luck has snuck off in shame to a diviner for guidance on where next to strike his pickaxe.
