Name: Laura Bones
Personality: Focused, Emotionally aware, Risk taker.
Landing Location: Edge of a stream.
First round:
King Spades - Skydrop - gives us 4 supplies.
Two spades - Iracon tribesmember who seems to need our help.
Queen diamonds - Path to monolith, device in chest begins to behave oddly.
Eight diamonds - encounter a trap, but avoid getting caught.
Gather - get four supplies.
Waking up in a small metal pod this morning was certainly a strange experience, however the rest of day put even that odd occurrence to shame. I stumbled out of the pod with many questions running through my head, and as I sit here and write this now I have only more. Any thoughts of using the pod as a shelter were soon disabused, not long after I emerged, its walls began to dissolve before my very eyes.
My memories are almost non-existant, in that I have no idea where I came from, or what I am doing here. I know my name is Laura, and I seem to be in possession of all of my faculties. I also discovered after today's adventures, that I seem to have also retained knowledge of a variety of skillsets that have proven to be quite useful. Though again, I have no recollection of how I obtained these skills. Then there's the strange contraption in my chest, I'm pretty sure they don't come as standard on humans, but without anything to compare to, I can't be sure.
Treking through the trees we hear someone call "watch out" we narrowly avoid stepping into a pit trap. It turned out to be a rather curious looking individual, with strange plates growing from his back and and head. His travelling companion had fallen into one of the traps and he needed help getting them out. I obliged, they were thankful, but still seemed very distrustful and made no offer to help in any other way. They soon hurried on their way, and I thought better of following them. They had both been armed and seemed as if they knew how to use their weapons.
I carried on my way and encountered by far the strangest sight of the day. A huge monolith with a strange floating platform and a beam of light shooting up into the sky. I approached, struck with awe at the sight. As I got close however, the platform began to glow and then flicker sporadically. I felt a strange warmth in my chest, the device was also glowing slightly, it seemed to be pulsing softly in time with the monolith but it was hard to tell. The device began to get warmer and the flickering grew more erratic. I decided to leave, I had to pull myself away though, I needed to know more before I approached one of things again. For all I knew it could make me explode or something.
The sun was beginning to set, and i was looking for somewhere to hole up for the night, when i spotted a strange, round object descending from the sky. It seemed like it would land quite close so I hurried in that direction. Turned out to be some kind of supply drop, I think. I didn't wait around to see if anyone else was coming for it and scooped up its contents and hurried on my way. I found this sheltered spot just before dark, a rocky overhang surrounded by tall ferns and shrubs. Hopefully I will be safe here for the night.
