Sphere of The Free and Keen

The Sphere of The Free and Keen is a term used almost exclusively by scholars and sages and occasionally politicians to refer to the lands in the eastern hemisphere of Boal, situated mostly around The Elder Ocean, the Striding Sea, and the neighboring areas. They contain a number of diverse civilizations populated by large numbers of humanoids with sophisticated societies, advanced magic and technology, rich culture, and complex political structures.
Most of these lands were occupied for over a thousand years by the Yuan-Ti the exceptions being Tailaphon and the continent of Ghrebam. After a few hundred years of freedom many independent cultures and civilizations grew and flourished, though new threats are always on the horizon.
