Something hides within the mists. Something even more dangerous than you.

Hiding within the dense, roiling banks of fog that roll over the Land of the Dead, these creatures are never directly observed until they strike. The only warning a Soul ever has is an overwhelming sense of existential threat, and the glimpse of something moving just out of the corner of the eye.
Very few Souls ever survive an encounter with an Akhlus Lurk. Those that do describe coiling, writhing tentacles shrouded in mist, and a paralyzing cry that ranges between a tortured, warbling wailing and a guttural hiss.
