Arcane Assault Force

The country of Broomen is mostly known for its independence war against the Oakenlands, spanning the years 5122-5134. In this war, they made use of their great arcane knowledge to shape the battles in their favour. One group that helped in that regard is the Arcane Assault Force, a powerful and secretive formation that has been significant in the eventual victory of the Broomen Nation. No one quite knows what the AAF is all about, but the feelings of respect go high for this group.

The Arcane Assault Force is, terrifyingly enough, only comprised of less than 100 individuals. But each member has such a magical fortitude that one can replace about 50 soldiers in terms of might.

Equipment

The Arcane Assault Force equips itself with arcane focuses made out of stone, fabricated in the mountains that are widely represented throughout the country. The unit also makes use of special robes, that have a basic defense against most martial weaponry.

Structure

Each member of the Arcane Assault Force works together, there is no deeper hierarchy in this formation. There are however, multiple groups that are sorted by their magical abilities. One that is tasked with battering the enemy by using the elements, the other is tasked with gaining intel through divination and enchantments.

The AAF or the organization surrounding it has never fully disclosed their recruitment process, but rumors go that people with magical strength are sometimes approached, and usually coerced to serve in the AAF. Others claim that the AAF recruits at one of the magical schools that are situated in the east of Broomen.

Historical loyalties

The Arcane Assault Force is, and always has been, loyal to the revolution and the independence of the Broomen Nation. Never has their loyalty wavered, never did any member give in to the temptations of desertion or treason.
