Sir Lorent Langworthy

Sir Lorent Langworthy was a knight-at-arms of House Langworthy, holders of the earldom of Branley in Dregonvell. A second son, he joined the Order of Oris as a young man before eventually serving as lord sentinel to Midah II and, briefly, Adair I.
Significantly, Sir Lorent was the lord sentinel during the Raping of the Babes, in which Prince Varun in his coup ordered all of his brother's children to be slain. Lorent, loyal to the last, fought on the steps to the Chamber of Heirs before being cut down, the final line of defence between the children and their murderers.
