President of the Dwarven Freehold

The President of the Dwarven Freehold  is the head of the council of the Freehold, elected for life amongst the kings of the constituent dwarven kingdoms. Its first holder was Harlaw Metalbreath, who ruled during the War for the Light. While the president oversees the day-to-day running of the Freehold and heads the council, which decides on the big issues of the day, the kingdoms are largely autonomous.

History

The Dwarven Freehold was born out of a desire for a defensive pact against Karakar and the Forces of Darkness. To allow for coordinated efforts for prosperity and progress, the main direction of the Freehold was entrusted to a president and the council.
