Draconic Warmonger

The second century of the second era has been a tumultuous one for the Drackkis of the Khatirra desert with the rise of Kairzedahl Brood. Followers of the warmongering dragon have upended the region's tenuous stability and plunged it into complete anarchy.

Appearance

Sightings of Kairzedahl are unfortunately rare, not because he isn't seen much; it's that many who see the ferocious dragon survive their encounter. The few accounts from survivors describe him as a large quadrupedal dragon with black scales and gold scales, four wings, and red hair along his spine.

Abilities

Survivors of Kairzedahl describe his onslaught as a symphony of destruction. The sky turns dark as furious storms rain down fire and lightning upon the Brood King's enemies. The earth becomes a scorched hellscape just from his arrival. Those who remain will be faced with the dragon's mastery of Entropic magic as he unleashes a powerful beam of chaotic magic that has decimated many settlements.

Kairzedahl's Brood

In the early months of 203 2E, rumors of a cult forming in the western mountains of Ky'ind began spreading among the Drackkis of the Khatirra desert. Many of the Sahqar, a proud people cut off from the rest of their kin were drawn in by the cult's talk of unifying the Drackkis and toppling the Altanra Ministry. The Drackkis would no longer limit themselves to the teachings of the Ministry and truly embrace the potential of their Dracolyth mixed blood. Kairzedahl promised to continue Assearing's legacy and bring about a new age of dragon domination upon the world, with the Drackkis taking their place among them.    As the cult grew, so did their ambitions. They sought to claim the loyalty of all of Ky'ind, either by choice or by force. Not all were so easily drawn in by the cult's radical beliefs and the potential chaos their actions could bring upon the entire region.   In 207 2E, members of the cult infiltrated the royal palace and presented Kair Modiriof Eahdha with a simple offer: support the cult's cause with troops and supplies, or she and Eahdha would be seen as enemies of Kairzedahl. Refusing to start a war that would devastate Ky'ind and its neighbors, Kair Modiri denied her support and sentenced them to death. This order would be her last. Within minutes of refusing their demands, Kairzedahl would arrive and demolish the palace in a violent show of power. A threat to all who stood in his path, and a sign of what was to come.   From that day forward, Kairzedahl and his brood unleashed their might upon Ky'ind and its neighbors. Keeps and settlements with raided and pillaged for the brood's neverending march of war. The armies of Serbakan, Scarkal, and the Altanra Ministry rallied to meet the threat the brood posed. However, things only escalated, as the attacks from Kairzedahl's brood were declared as attacks by Ky'ind itself by the Altanra Ministry, leading them to declare war upon Ky'ind.    This brutal war has ignited old tensions between Ky'ind and the nations loyal to the Altanra Ministry and plunged the region into complete anarchy. Ky'ind's future is uncertain, as it fights a two-front war for survival against the Altanra Ministry and the ever-growing brood of Kairzedahl. As of 215 2E, the region is still locked in conflict, with Ky'ind's future hanging on by a thread and the brood's raids tearing apart the central Khatirra desert. Scarkal has faced the most devastation from the cult as they slowly approach their capital of Hisnmar, potentially leaving Altanra with one less nation to bolster its forces and many Drackkis displaced by the brood's rampage. As of now, it seems there is no end to the war in sight.
Threat Assessment
The nation of Ky'ind and its neighbors have not known peace since the warmongering Kairzedahl and his followers have risen to power in the region. His followers have ransacked many settlements and Keeps to build their army and rule the entirety of the Khatirra desert. As of writing this, Kairzedahl has become the biggest enemy of the Altanra Ministry for the potential threat he poses to their hold over the region. For even a chance for peace, Kairzedahl must be eliminated.
