Frasfu

Frasfu is one of the five planets with intelligent life in the universe. With a total of nine sapient species, this is by far the most diverse planet. Most of these people now live intermixed, generally giving more importance to one's country rather than the species. But some of them still tend to keep to themselves, either by choice or by force.   Intrinsic energy in this world is easy to channel, as it requires no external components or additional skills. However, the channeler needs to hurt themselves or the target creature, which makes this a rare ability to train (with many prejudices surrounding its practice).   Even though there are some mechanical contraptions like clocks or automatons, the average technological level is late medieval. Gunpowder has recently been invented, but still doesn't have a big impact on warfare.
The low level of resonance activity of this planet didn't let me expand on my study of sparks. But still, sneaking into the Council of Gods to discover their nature, or studying a csillun's starmarks were worth the trip

Cultures

Use the Dominant cultures layer above to check the areas covered by each of the eleven dominant cultures. The following table contains dominant languages and religions for each culture (it will be expanded as the world is developed):
The above table and map are a simplification. There are minority cultures, languages, and religions no depicted in them.

Countries

Frasfu is divided into a total of seventeen countries, which creates a complex web of diplomacy and intrigue in the relatively small landmass. Only the Tetrachy of Seonju remains almost completely isolated from all other nations.   Part of the population lives in the Wide Waters, a catch-all term for the social structures (for lack of a better word) that exist in the oceans. These people live all their lives on their ships and, while they sometimes can be seen in harbors, they tend to avoid interacting with the "land-dwellers".

Sapient species

Frasfu has a total of nine sapient species, although only seven of them have permanent physical bodies. The other two, llunthui and chikai, are elementals of darkness and light respectively, and while they are just as intelligent as the rest of them, most people don't consider them sapient.
jongyan
Native to the cold lands of Nampyeon, jongyan have now expanded to pretty much the whole continent. They are shorter than the average among all species and have a thick, sturdy skin with pale tones, generally light blue, light grey, or plain white, although the ethnicities living in warmer areas have darker coloration instead. Both males and females grow thick beards, although some decide to shave them.

libellon
Libellon call the highest mountains home, and they are able to easily access them thanks to their colorful insect-like wings. Their fragile bodies made them easy targets for stronger armies and are now a subjugated culture. The White Spires are the original home of libellon, but some of them migrated to the Red Chain when Nampyeon and Nyirnia invaded the Spires.

falid
Standing less than 50 cm tall, falid look like bipedal mice. They mostly live in Alalmoha, but seeing them in other parts of the world is not rare. Stereotypically, they are secretive and work as spies or even assassins.

sadamir
Resembling bipedal felines, they are culturally and historically connected to falid. They like to keep to their own in their own countries, Dhuraifa and Ahualco, but just like falid, they can also be found pretty much everywhere else. Surprisingly enough, sadamir and falid tend to be extremely friendly to each other.

csillun
Csillun are the native species of the Valley of Stars, and they are very common in all of Nyirnia, eastern Mandor, and northern Inkiarniqekia. About as tall as beihon, they are similar to jongyan in body shape, their skins covered with natural patterns that give off dim pulsating light when not lit directly. Their hair, which tends to have bright color gradients, similarly shines in the dark.

mtani
Coming from the southern lands of Ulalia, the mtani are a forest-dwelling people with plant-like bodies. While being bipedal in shape, their bodies are almost completely covered in leaves, moss, and even branches among the elderly.

beihon
Native to the north-western parts of the continent, these insectoid people are the tallest of all sapient species. There's quite a lot of physical variation, with some beihon having four limbs while others have six. But they all have an exoskeleton in common.

chikai
Also known as "lightlings", the chikai are one of the two sapient elemental species and live in Seonju. Made entirely out of light, they appear as bright floating spheres. Although they don't perceive the world as the other species and can't talk using a voice or gestures, they do have their own communication system, based on color and movement.
llunthui
Also known as "shadowlings", they are the other elemental species, this time made out of shadows. Although they can't produce sounds in their natural form, they can possess corpses of other creatures and use them as if they were alive, which is how they usually communicate. Needless to say, this gives them a very bad reputation among the rest of the species (with the exception of chikai, with whom they share their country).

Selenurgy

Frasfu's variety of channeling is called selenurgy and is based on a kind of stone called moonstone. These stones look like mundane ones in their base form, although they always give off a very dim light. However, when moon light touches them for about an hour, they activate and take on new physical forms.   Active stones maintain their form for up to a week, and during this period, they possess certain magical properties. A selenurgist can attune an active moonstone, at which point they gain certain capabilities that depend on the stone's form.   Telling what form will a moonstone take is impossible before the transformation takes place. However, a moonstone will always take on the same form.
