Majister

A majister is the title given to a court mage in Tivel and Erikadia. Generally a wizard or some kind of sorcerer. Warlocks are generally not chosen as they are thought to have mixed loyalties. Depending on the side of the court the Majister may be given an entire library and laboratory with many pages to help their research or just a small alcove.

Qualifications

Varies from court to court, though generally required to have the ability to preform magic consistently. They are appointed by who ever leads their court.

Duties

Generally to provide counsel in the cases where magic is concerned and offer magically solutions to problems faced by their sovreign. They are also charged with researching magical abilities and such.

Benefits

A stipend and access to resources for research and development.
