Baron

The title of baron is one of the lowest titles of nobility in many place, they are above Knights but below the rest of the hierarchy. Unlike knights, barons are almost always landed, controlling a territory called a barony.
Baron's are usually vassals of a greater noble, usually a Count or a Duke.
