Sarthex

The Sarthex is a gigantic salt-water reptile, similar to but much larger than a crocodile. It has a thick scaly skin that can turn aside most weapons unless wielded with great strength and courage. It is a prodigiously strong swimmer and surprisingly swift when running on land. Its jaws are strong and lined with sharp tearing teeth.
A ferocious predator the Sarthex tends to hunt alone and will eagerly attack even man-sized foes.
