Jabai Gorge

This is a deep river-carved gorge in the heart of Hakush which is ringed by a number of small townships carved on the steep slopes.
It is the home of the Potha people, who consider themselves the descendants of the unconquered seventh house of Aureus deposed when the Barama Dynasty took power.
The people are clannish and territorial, insanely proud, and capable of bearing a grudge that lasts for centuries. They also know every rock, bush and shrub in those mountains and make phenomenal guides or a dangerous obstacle to progress. Jabai Gorge is located at an important conjunction of routes through Hakush and most trade, travel or military activity has to pass through or near it. Forming an alliance with the Khan of the Potha is therefore vital to anyone with business in Hakush
