Jane Doe

Jane (a.k.a. That Zombie)

The first time Jane died she felt relief. Being immortal was a gift, she thought, and nothing bad could come from it. The 208th time she died, she realized that she was starting to have a hard time remembering things. Small things at first, like remembering what she ate for breakfast. The 684th time she died, she started having trouble remembering her friends - she knew who they were but their names just kept slipping away. The 1,780th time she couldn’t remember who was her family and who was a stranger, so she decided to leave. Now, having died 8,392 times, Jane only knows hunger. Hunger and murder. Everything is food - some things are just easier to eat than others.   Jane knows that the more she dies the more she becomes Hollow, an undead without a purpose and completely mindless without their humanity. By consuming life energy from others she can combat her decay and become more human. Jane’s purpose is to fulfill the prophecy, “In thine exodus from the Undead Asylum, maketh pilgrimage to the land of Ancient Lords... When thou ringeth the Bell of Awakening, the fate of the Undead thou shalt know..." Python might be the land of “Ancient Lords” so Jane will ring every and any bell she finds.   While Jane is not adventuring, she has begrudgingly accepted a position at Issun and Ammy’s tea shop. After learning about a magical bean that brings you life, Jane has opened a coffee section on the other side, specializing in Death Black Coffee.   The oddest thing-as she has spent time with certain individuals (Faraday, Cherubix, Dezy and Tara) she has considered them her friends and even her family. I guess even a zombie human will packbond eventually.
