Amaterasu

Amaterasu (nicknamed Ammy by Issun) is the second reincarnation of the celestial brush god of the sun. While she is powerful she is a bit rusty and gains power through good deeds, healing the land, and acquiring praise. A god is measured by how many followers and believers they have after all. Ammy is quiet, kind, mature, and gentle. However she has a short attention span and is sensitive about her flaws. She has to do the right thing always even if it puts her in harm's way. To any non-magical being Ammy looks like a white wolf. To anyone who has magical inclinations she looks like a white wolf with red markings.
Issun is a Poncle (a divine spirit roughly the size of a beetle) and he is completely postponing his family duties. Being the next Celestial Envoy, his mission should be to spread praise for the gods and to make art and convert followers, but Issun just wants to drink and flirt with babes. He spends his time riding on Ammy’s head and translating for her.
Ammy and Issun arrive on Python because it’s another world to rejuvenate the land and help people. Ammy wants to do the right thing and destroy evil, Issun just wants to learn magical paintbrush techniques.
When they aren’t adventuring Issun convinced Ammy to make a tea shop. Ammy spends most of the time getting pets from the customers and Issun (despite his size) is the barista. They have invited Jane to work there (mostly as an idea to keep an eye on her and know where she is). Outside of tea shop hours you can find Issun at the bar drinking and chatting up strangers. Ammy would be napping, walking around town mending broken items, feeding animals, carrying stuff for people, or just trying to get pets.
