Teenkdiwar – The Hidden Gnome Kingdom
“The world beyond may have forgotten us, but we have not forgotten the world.”Type: Gnome Kingdom Ruler: High Tinker Brivwin Sparkgleam (current ruler, elected by the Council of Cogs) Primary Inhabitants: Rock Gnomes, some Forest Gnomes Territory: Nestled in the Verdant Hills, 24-30 miles east of Nilanthalas, the fallen Wood Elf kingdom. Status: Isolated; no contact with the east for over two centuries.
History
The gnome kingdom of Teenkdiwar was once a thriving client state under the influence of Elenlindë, the High Elf kingdom. Known for their mastery of engineering, alchemy, and enchantment, the gnomes of Teenkdiwar provided arcane innovations, intricate clockworks, and intelligence-gathering services to their elven patrons. Though independent in governance, their alliance with the elves afforded them security and prosperity. However, when the Clay Rising saw the goblins overrun Nilanthalas 210 years ago, the gnomes recognized the impending danger. They sealed their tunnels and fortresses, cutting themselves off from the outside world. While the elves fled or perished, Teenkdiwar retreated inward, vanishing from the maps of history. Since then, no contact has been made with the eastern lands, and it is unknown whether Teenkdiwar is still thriving or merely surviving in its self-imposed isolation. The outside world has all but forgotten them, and some doubt they still exist at all.Geography & Defenses
