House Golitsyn

House Golitsyn was a noble house of the Khorovisk Dominion and worked to maintain and expand the Dominion's western border. Maintaining the border territory put House Golitsyn in direct conflict with House Amadis and the two houses would often skirmish against each other even between proper wars. Following the assassination of Countess Anna Amadis total war broke out between House Golitsyn and House Amadis. Following several months of hard fighting House Golitsyn was pushed back and exhausted to the point of ruin. In a final battle Count Amadis led a murderous charge against Golitsyn's house guard and killed the head of the house, Alexie Golitsyn. In the same battle the two heirs of the house were slain as well. Since the fall of the house many heirs have come forward to clam rulership of the house but none have lasted long due to the cutthroat nature of Dominion politics.
