Half-orc
If you wish to be polite, the term to use is "halfblood." Many halfbloods reside in Gorundia, largely due to the Galekki Wastes—the homeland of the orcs, which serves as a convenient wedge between the Dominion and the Kingdom of Gorundia. The Dominion is all too willing to bribe, threaten, feed, or otherwise manipulate the orcs, who attack indiscriminately, making Gorundia as frequent a target as any.
In the Dominion, halfbloods are enslaved with little recourse and face almost no chance of improving their lot. Among the orcs of the Galekki Wastes, their smaller size and lesser strength make them victims of bullying at best. Gorundia, being both the place where many are born and the least overtly hostile nation toward them, has become their de facto refuge.
Over time, there has been a steady migration of halfbloods from Gorundia's eastern borders—where the chaos of war often brings danger—to the west, where opportunities are slightly better. In many ways, Gorundia represents the closest thing to a chance at stability that halfbloods have.
