Dryad

Dryads are nature spirits; both of the fey and divine. Ehlonna uses them as servants and priestesses, but they are willful, and alien to the human mind. They are prone to choosing a handsome man and taking him away 'just for a few decades'.
A dryad and her tree are one. Once she has bonded, they are inexoribly linked. When it is time, a dryad can create a seedling, child like but powerful in her own rite, she is on a race against time - she must find an appropriate tree or she will wither and die in short order.
