A Halfblood's prayer to Gruumsh
"Gruumsh, One-Eye, Wielder of Chaos,
Your gaze burns, your fury consumes.
Do not turn your eye upon me, for I am but ash before your rage.
Let my blade spill the blood of those unworthy,
Let their screams rise to your ears,
So that your wrath may feast upon them instead.
I offer you their fear, their pain, their defeat— Take it, and look away from me. Blind your gaze to my missteps, Spare your fury from tearing my flesh. I am no lover of your wrath, but I respect its power.
Strike down my foes, One-Eyed Lord. Let your fury find them, and not me. In your shadow, I survive; in your fury, they perish. This I beg of you, Gruumsh."
